40 ford jump seat brackets

I have searched this forum and several other places trying to find some info on what the original brackets look like that you attach the jump seats to and some diminsions for its location on the floor pan/rocker panel. Any info especially pics would be much appreciated.

There's been an ad on this site advertising a pair of jump seats and I think they come with the brackets. Search the swap meet section. Those brackets would not be easy to make.

There are 2 studs on each side of the floor that hold the bracket foot which folds up under the seat when the seat is in the "up" position. If there are some for sale like TJ mentioned you should buy them.

Thanks for replies, sorry guys but I didnt do a good job explaining myself. I have the complete jump seats, what i dont have is where and what the seat attaches to on the side of the car. There must be some sort of support bracket attached to the floor pan or rocker at the side of the car that the 2 seat studs bolt into. I can easily make some thing for them to bolt into but i would like to see what was done on the original car. I can also kinda guess where to put them but a diminsion off an existing car would be nice, maybe from the face of the b pillar to the mounting holes?? I am assuming the height would be driven by the front peg on the seat. Again any help appreciated.

Uhh; Don't the seat legs attach to the floor only? and then the seats flip up against the side when stowed away. Only fixture is the floor studs in my car. So you need the location of the floor studs. Newc

Here is a photo. Studs are mounted through the floor. The paired ones are 1 3/4” apart and the spacing between pairs is 9”. I can give you more measurements if you want. I’ll need to move things around to access it better. Hope this helps. I will take a better photo also.

It is 10 inches to the centre of the front bracket from the edge of the door pillar and the 9 inches C to C of the 2 brackets.

The hold down bolts must be just fixed to the floor pan as I cannot see them coming through the chassis under the car and the nut is on top of the bracket.

The photo is the only one I have that was taken of my car when the carpets and interior panels were out of it.

Edit
It is a bit hard to see in the photo but the hold down nut is in line with the centre of the bracket and on the outer side. ie nearest the quarter panel. I think it would be very difficult to make a new set of these brackets as they are cast and spring loaded. I would be buying what I could.
