"Bull nose"? Does that mean hood ornament?

[19Fordy]

"Bull nose" refers to a smooth [iece of chromed metal that replaces the traditional OEM hood ornament. It was the easy way to give your hood the smooth "custom look" without having to do any body work to the hood. I have never seen one for a 40 Ford.
Here's an example.
