40 Ford hood bumpers

The front pair of hood bumpers are wedge shaped. Does the thickest part go toward the engine or to the outside?

The wider side goes toward the engine.

Thank you. Now to get them changed around. Both Carpenter and Drakes thought they were the opposite but said they couldn't be sure. lol

I think all you have to do is look at the angle of the fender where it comes down and touches and you will see which way it goes.
