'40 Ford Dash Question

There's a small hole centered above the speedometer on my 40 deluxe dash. What's if for? (I have the Benny Bootle 40 restoration guide, but it doesn't seem to address this hole in the dash section.)

I think it is for your high beam jewel, so show you when your high beams are on. Marv

Marv is correct. It's where the hi/low beam indicator jewel light goes. You can just see it in the photo.

Thanks for the info. I didn't get an indcator with the dash. I'll have to find one someplace.
