fordor41 Well-known member May 8, 2023 #2 I had same problem. bought a vent seal (imported) )for our '41 and sealed great. repainted the car and replaced the seal with a Drake or Carpenter seal and had same problem. believe I ground it down on back side to get the vent to close.

Newc Well-known member May 9, 2023 #3 Rubber is workable if frozen. Try that. Used this method on the thick '32 cowl seals. Newc
