40 convertible window regulators

Not the same . The convert has a reducer gear that the others dont have. Drake has the convert regulators advertised on his website but I havnt seen one up close,originals are very hard to find.
 
Thanks Ken. I have a friend who is assembling a 40 conv for the widow of a common friend and has so far not found the regs. Our friend had lots of spare 40 parts and sadly passed before getting the conv back together, so many parts are intermingled, or possibly sold with some other stuff in error.
 
I have a '40 convertible. The regulators were shot. I bought the Drake's regulators and they seem to work well. If you factor in the amount of time it takes to repair or replace stripped gears the new ones are cheap.

The window regulator pictured in Drake's new products announcement on the web is actually a '40 closed car unit, simply used prior to the actual production '40 convertible units were in stock and could be photographed. Drake's '40 conv. regulators are identical to the originals. Hit the following link into Drake's new catalog 26 pdf file and go to page 269 where the '40 Conv. regulators are correctly shown; http://www.bobdrake.com/CAT26/cat26pdfs/234-271.pdf

Thats them,they look just like my originals and at $200 for the pair, I would consider that a deal compared to what I paid 15 years ago for a pair of N.O.S. ones.
