Did the 40/41 trucks had pillar moldings? I have flat top screw (rivets) on mu truck's pillars, indicating that there should have been moldings.

not sure what you are referring to--could you post a picture? I have or had over 5 40/41 trucks so I might be able to help with a little more info

The two pillars on the left and right hand side of the front windscreen. It seems that there should have been some sort of molding on the inside of the cab dropping down from the headliner. This is apart from the normal split windscreen garnish moldings. Hope this is enough information.

Welcome to the Barn. Open this thread and take a look at Post#57 and 58. http://www.fordbarn.com/forum/showthread.php?t=205069
You are looking at the interior of my 40 One Ton Express shortly after it was purchased from the original owner's son-in-law. Aside from the garnish moulding that surrounds the window the only other attachment at the pillar is the door windlace that extends from the floorboards and up the side of the cab. As I recall it was attached to the cab and the pillar with a smooth headed rivet that had a twisted shank so that when driven into the body it would lock in place. Perhaps this is what you're looking at. There is also a narrow 1" wide fabric covered metal strip that extends over the door terminating at the top of the pillar visible in the photo. As I recall its attached with screws to the cab.
