I've never run a 94 but as a single carb they work very well. As duals, they are harder to tune because of the vacuum power valve.

I can see how that could make tuning difficult, I always thought the v8 guys used 97's because they are physically smaller and alot of 2 or 3 carb manifolds wouldn't physically fit a pair of 94's without hitting each other, but the tuning aspect also makes sense why they aren't popular for multiple carb setups
