For test purposes, here's a macro closeup I took of a spider in my greenhouse.
From this end you can see the hairs on his legs.
Lets see how clear it posts on Fordbarn....

The leg hairs are somewhat of a blur when posted here...but they're crystal clear in my picture program so a certain amount is somehow lost.
Can we expect clearer posted pics if they're taken at a higher resolution?
...or are all pics reduced to a certain pixal size to save bandwidth?
I'm headoverheels delighted to be posting pics on here:D so don't anybody get me wrong
...just wondering what the limits are.

Craig, 76 KB when expanded from thumbnail.

What is the res of your hairy legs shot as you have it on hard drive and posted it?

If they are being auto shrunk in Kb by fordbarn site, , I would think it was more for site storage space than bandwidth.

That is why hosting offsite lets you put up a clearer (more KB) pic.

Only , it is courtesy to not have them too big for dial ups and pay by megs members.

Dave, that is A354 on the rack. Steve and Mike stopped by with it on their way to Bill Sturm's in Wisconsin. I got a call that it will get further critiquing from Roy Nelson, Dave Cella and Doc Kalinka. I first saw its chassis years ago. Mike has since rolled up his sleeves and has done a marvelous job of preparing it at a fine point level. It is the second earliest Model A known to exist. Mike's A241 is the oldest. This is according to the order in which they were released for final assembly. As a fellow ve28 guy I am thrilled at seeing A354. Fred would truly be impressed with what his son is completing.

WOW! Great looking car (and crew as well!) Now, get it finished and plan on showing it in San Diego at the 2011 MARC Meet.

Gary, of course I can't speak for Mike or anyone else but I can say that there will definitely be a couple early A's that will be shown for the first time. It is still uncertain whether A495 will make it. Fingers crossed.

Personally, I am already looking forward to San Diego.

Dean,
We have all our fingers and toes, plus other parts of our anatomy, crossed for you on A495 being in San Diego.

Dave

Dave,

Got the body back for A1276 today, all painted. Sure looks different than the plain oak body. The running gear is all done, including those 3" stems I got from you a number of years ago when we traided NOS stems. It took four big men to set the body on the chassis. I'm so thrilled to finally have the Lt. Del. on its way to being done.

Ron,

We sure would like to see some photos of the light delivery! Perhaps you could start a new thread to document the remainder of its restoration.....pleeeeese? :D

Pluck, not a lot I could do with only 108 Kb to start with.

May have to raise your camera resolution next time.

I am sure enjoying this thread. But, being new to the hobby it would be interesting to know the names of these four gentlemen.

They were identified in Steve's other "4-28" thread. They are, from left, Ron Rude, Mike Gooding, Steve Ciccalone, and Steve Plucker.
