3D Printed Model A Parts

One that I can think of would be the brush ring in the back of a powerhouse generator. They were bakelite and deteriorate over time and no one reproduces them. It would also require transfer of the riveted mounting pieces but that is doable.

Another would be the covers for the electric windshield wipers, They also deteriorate. I'm sure there could be other items if researched enough.

One item I have considered would be the "plate" used in the light switch/harness. Not the 4 position "later" twolite switch plate (3 contact switch) but the earlier 3 position (center off) switch plate used on the "Type H" headlights. (4 contact switch)

Again, a matter of the brass contacts/solder lugs - but these must be available somewhere in Square D world.

A neighbor has been playing with "Printing" parts for a time. At my request he was able to fill in the missing of 11 change gears for an early Barnes "Treadle" lathe. He did six gears in plastic which seem to work fine in the low torque application of a lathe change gear.

Having both an "early" Model AA and a March 29 Model A truck, I don't have quite enough light switch parts to cover for both. I paid $100 for a 4 contact switch/switch plate/wire harness cut short on Ebay. Hard when one realizes that Mac's for a time was selling the 3 contact light switch on sale for $4.95. The incremental cost of manufacturing an early switch CAN'T be that much more than making the later switch.

A request and a beef all in one post. Don't bother me. I'm on a roll.

My son has 3D printed several things for me. I'll be seeing him tomorrow to see if he can print this odd little terminal post insulator that goes inside a Powerhouse generator.

The guy at Westach who makes a replacement 20-0-20 ammeter 3D prints the housing that is behind the instrument panel. Works great and looking at the dash from inside the car you would never know.
