39 Window Garnish molding help

I'm new to this so I appologize for the question. Ive tried to search how to properly install the window garnish moldings and I'm lost. My 39 sedan garnish moldings have several screw holes on the molding itself, I've tried to figure out what they screws too and can't figure it out. On the door itself there are no holes or clips that appear to need screws? Any help or pics for the new guy here.

The windshield garnish screws into the inside of the windshield opening on the body. The front door garnish has 5 clips that mount in the garnish, 3 on top-2 on the ends.

Should be no holes in '39 side glass garnish molldings, clips on back side only. Rear window and windshield have holes and use screws to mount.

We are talking about the front doors, and rear doors for sedans.
Early 39's had no holes - just used clips.
Available from Bob Drake and probably the other vendors - Dick Spadaro - C&G tec..
Later 39's have the holes and the small reinforcing brackets inside the moldings for the screws.
You'll come across cars with a mixture of both.

Here is a photo of what I have. Any help?

Hey Mudd: My 39 deluxe dose not have screw holes in the door frames, unlike yours my frames has a "Skirt" from the bottom of the frame, down about 2-1/2 inch down, and covers the top of the door panel, for the link of the door ?? ..the door frame is held in by the spring clips .... Your holes look like factory ie punched and with a counter sink ?? ..OLD....BILL

I'm starting to think there the wrong year and don't fit my car. I agree, I'm thinking I need the ones you have with the lower extentions skirt
