I need help. I have a 1939 transmission and the tail section has ears on it. I am trying to get it to work with a 32 k member. What do I need to do to get this ****** to work with my 32 k member? Any help is appreciated.
Thanks Tom B

You need to take off the later mount and install the 32 parts. The actual 32 mount is available repo. You will need the hardware. There is a hat shaped piece that goes in the mount. It uses a flat back up ring and four special L shaped bolts. The hardware parts were used thru 36 so are available used. The trans will then bolt in.

I think any rear trans housing from 32 through 36 can take the 32 mount and plate that go in the K-member. All of the 3-speed light duty transmission cases are similar enough that they will bolt right on the later case.

Does anyone have a picture of this piece? I'm doing the same thing, and my clam shell looks like it would bolt right up, but comes up short by about 1.25"... and it's left me befuddled!

You need the b-5099-A plate and the B-7085-B retainer. The special bolts would be handy too. You can then get the B-5089-B rubber/steel part as a repro.

The same goes for any 32-36 application with the appropriate rubber/steel part.

Sweet. Thanks guys, that's what I have. It just sounded different the way Andy described it. I guess something's hanging up/binding and then I'll be able to get the clam shell bolted up. I'm not working on that right now, but it keeps me up at night sometimes! ;-)
