Greeting all
Bought a couple of bumpers ex Macs just got round to fitting them up and find the overriders don't come within a bulls roar of matching the profile of the bumper a good 40mm gap upon tightening . Would take major surgery to get them right,
Also got a hood lining from them and the trimmer had to cut and resew around the back window area
Anyone had these issues, it's not practical to send back stuff from NZ
Unfortunately had the stuff for a while should have checked as soon as I got them. Not sure about Macs any more

I've got a special shelf with repro stuff-ups. Your problem gets worse however, your bumpers arn't made from spring steel so don't 'bump' into anything for fear of pushing the 'bumper' into some bodywork. It's a crap industry that for less than ten dollars difference between mild and spring steel chooses the cheaper option, and then, spends thousands on a Die Set that is incorrect. Whatever happened to "Do it once, do it right."

Thanks Fe 26 will be letting them know about it will use the bumpers until further down the road with the project then re chrome the originals. Was unaware they were just mild steel.

The after market bumpers are shaped different and the overriders won't fit up tight....I also found out the hard way. I sent my original bumpers out and had them rechromed so I could keep and use my overriders for the same money as buying reproductions.
