39 Rear Drums

miles,
Mac's and lots of others sell a copy of the KR Wilson drum puller...KRW #ABV-
156....Mac's # A1114T. Not cheap, about $200 but worth it. I've had one for 30
years. DO NOT use a puller by any means that attaches to the studs. When on
a long road trip this baby always goes with me.

What Charlie said.
When I didn't have the $$'s to buy a good one, I made my own. Has never failed me on pulling any early Ford V8 rear drums. It is an overkill design as far as being heavy duty. However, a club member borrowed it to pull a Lincoln rear drum and for some reason it would not fit his drum correctly.
As Charlie said DO NOT use a puller that fits on the lug bolts. This can/will cause warped drums.

This is the type I use but I do not know the make exactly as it is not marked, mayby Snapon? I have seen more of these used by Ford garage mechanics from back in the day I knew than the KR Wilson one, makes it look like a toy.
