Looking for a 78 series case with a 78 rear mount and 81A shifter housing

[twinjoan]

Have transmission with 78 series care and 81A shifter housing. I recently removed the gears from a side shift transmission. They are used, of course. But everything is in real decent condition, so everything is cleaned up and put back together. The shifting tower is exceptional, complete with shifting lever. The value is $750. plus shipping. 39Portlander, I may have the 39 transmission you are seeking. We cleaned one up and did a mild rebuild some years ago. I don't remember if this was from my parts truck when I restored that 16 years ago (1/2 ton stakebed) or from my 39 Woodie restoration 20 years ago. In any case they may be the same gears as the Woodie was actually heavier than the truck. It has the curved shifter on top, but I might have a straight shifter if that's what you need. If interested call me in Vermont 802-869-2688 or e-mail me jen.toby@yahoo.com Thanks, Toby Lampert
