Easier to ask here than break my back trying to fool with it

Yep sure is just pull and twist- Just remember to push it back in or the Odometer will not turn over

Be gentle with the trip reset stem. Often, we see damaged gearing on the trip meter side from abuse. Also if you have the Deluxe model with the quick reset trip odometer, take extra care. They are not a serviceable item.
