'39 big pickup

May be big and heavy but I see he drilled the front axle to help the weight some. I'd take it.

Those big trucks are great. Did they make a lot of them?

Here's some pictures of a 36' that I always thought was incredible.

Goofy 17" stretch ring split rims can be changed to a tubeless outer rim on a cut down center. This one was originally a wrecker with 60 HP and 6.66 gears. Now it's an 8RT with a later rearend with the original hubs. Those caps and fat radials are too cool

Seen this big 39 pickup on ebay? http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/1939...-PICKUP-NORES-/220649251405?pt=US_Cars_Trucks

I saw one at Hershey a few years back. The truck is big. I love it, but apparently no one else does.

Not true!!! The judges at the Uptown Whittier, CA Car Show showed their appreciation of my ugly duckling (1940 Tonner) by voting it Best of Show and Best Truck. It was selected for this award from the 600+ vehicles present including some heavy duty iron. Beauty is skin deep as they say.
