I have had this on my mind for a few weeks. I am kicking around the idea of turning my 38 standard coupe into a 37. I have not been able to find many 38 standard parts. There are plenty of 37 parts out there and I am thinking about going that direction. My coupe does not have many parts right now and I allready have a few 37 parts. What do yall think/

38 is supposed to be the ugly duck year. I had both a std and deluxe cpe and loved both of them. Keep it a 38.

I like the 38 standard its just the finding parts. I have a guy that his uncle has a sedan that he wants to get rid of and i would like to get it for a parts car. The roof is caved in on it but the car had a frame off in the early eighties.

I am waiting for his uncle to come up with a price. He is prety old and thinks its worth more than it is. My grandfather just gave me three model t's and he wants me to fix one up before he is gone. One of them runs and is allmost there so I might start it first. But I want that guys sedan.

My experience is that I always regret it later when I pass an opportunity.
Go for it if you have room for it.

If you are building a street rod and it is what you want go for it. If you are building a stock car don't do it or you will be resolving differences between the years for as long as you own the car.

I am going to keep it a 38 I decided today. I just cant decide if I want to buy a few more cars. There have been a bunch of good cars poping up around here sence no one has any money or work. I ran into a guy that said his father has a 40 coupe that he parked in one of the barns in the late 50's. He is thinking about gettingrid of it to buy hay. Says its in great shape. and a 34 five window but the old guy does not know if he wants to part with it.

Good! Keep it a '38!!! Who says the're ugly? .....mine's the prettiest gal on the road. (wife won't see this reply!)
