'38 Pickup floormats

Was at a car show today and saw a very nice '38 Pickup done back to original, not a street rod. he had a new floormat that looked, by design, like the '35-'36 Pickups.

Question. They don't sell floormats for the '36 any longer as we discussed here recently. My wife cut out one that fits very nice from a sheet of rubber mat from Menard's that they had on sale for 12 bucks. Is the '38 really that much different? The pedals on the floor look identical, is the cab a bit bigger? Just wondering!

The frames for cars and pickups are the same from 1935 to 1940 and the pickup to 1941. Since the frames are the same I have to assume that the clutch and brake pedals come up through the floor at the same point. The transmissions are floor shift so the hole for the shifter should be the same. My 1939 Pu has the dimmer switch on the floor older models may be different. Accelerator pedal is spoon type, so no hole in floor mat. Cabs may be slightly bigger from 1936 or 37 to 38 and slightly bigger than 39 to 40. I too am looking for a floor mat for my 39 and wonder if the passenger car mat would fit. I was looking at Dennis Carpenters catalog on the internet and see that he has floor mats for 39 passenger cars for $130. What is different about the passenger mat vs. the pickup??

I purchased my mat for my 39 pkup. from JOES FORD PARTS ,I beleave it came from CARPENTERS for it had no holes cut in it .It fits well after carefully cutting holes from a pattern I made SUNSHINE

Blue,
I purchased a '40 floor mat, and it fits pretty good. The pedal holes were right and don't remember about the dimmer switch, if it was already there or I had to cut it. The "mold" in the floor for the shifter tower was a little different, but I am happy with it. I'll check out the dimmer switch and I'll try to post some pictures later, once I'm home.

I tried to buy a '40 floor mat and was told at Mac's that they are no longer in stock. I just purchased a mat from Carpenter that has no holes in it. Hope that works out.
