38 One Ton Brakes

What's the trick to getting the rear drums off a 1938 one ton pickup? The wheels spin freely, and I pulled the axles already. I'm in the final stages of a strip down for a total restoration and am keeping the truck as stock. I'm having difficulty finding info on aspects of the one ton.

I got all of the grease cleaned out and looked more carefully to see what appears to be a couple of badly mangled very large nuts that need to be removed. That's where I stand currently. New photo attached.

I'm replying to my own thread because I've found an answer from a friend who works on some old tractors. When I got a clear picture of the hub to him, he quickly recognized the "mangled" nuts that I was looking at as being something he called chisel nuts. He said they were put on and taken of by spinning them with a chisel. He was absolutely right. They came off without a problem and without some sort of expensive tools. That wraps this inquiry for me.
