I have a 38 dome head distributor the has the left side cap that cannot be installed with the locating dog in the cap properly located in the distributor housing. The problem is the vacuum advance/ drag housing casted into the distributor housing limits the rotation of the cap and prevents proper location and installation. Question, is there a different design for the left cap?. Where is there a source for a correct cap?
