38-39 Front Fender Welting ??

On 38's & 39 Standard models,does the welting on the front fenders go the entire lenght of the fender(body, hood sides & grill) or just between the body and grill?

I would say all the way, but I am not a 38-39 Standard guy. What about some input 38-39 Standard owners???

I installed the right fender today. With only welting on the body. Have not installed the grill yet. Tomorrow I plan on installing the left fender with fender welting the all the way, front to back.

I just did my 39 std and ran the welting all the way from the bottom of the fender at the running board to the bottom of the grill. All one piece.To mark and cut the bolt holes on the welting, I purchased the small plastic multicolored clamps from Harbor Freight to hold the welting against the fender flange. For the correct welting contact Roy Nacewicz.

The welting runs full length. I have an original '38 Std. and when I removed the front fenders it was full length.

I'm looking foward to seeing your finished project. My 39 std is almost finished, just waiting on the wiper man to finish my wiper so that the headliner and upholstery can be installed. You can tell your car project is almost done, when you pull the last parts out from under the bed.

Planojc, "under the bed", my side panels & grill have been ON the bed for a couple years ☺☺. The hood has been in the same room.
I have Labor Day set as on road date. Here are few pictures of the last couple days progress.
