Been looking @ bed's for my 39 and in the catalogs they talk about shipped direct from the factory. Can I order direct from this "factory"

Any one who has ordered a bed let me know. My truck had a stake bed and am looking to get a steel bed after the cab is complete. Any info is great:D

I looked into it about 5 years ago for my 39, they come knocked down on a pallet, you buy it from them, then they hook you up with a major trucking firm to deliver .As I remember, the whole bed in pieces was around 2 grand ,,an another 5-6 hundred to ship it ,,then you have to put it together . I ended up finding a decent bed, on here ,in western mass for 500 bucks

December 2010, I bought a new bed from my '46 pick up from Macs. I bought it knocked down in a flat box for about $2,000 and then I paid another $200 to have it shipped to Washington state by Conway Freight. It took about a month to get it delivered. No assembly directions came with it. It went together perfectly using my old bed as a pattern. It took about three easy days of work to assemble it. The bed finished out amazingly well. A new experience for me having no dents, rust, or paint to be removed. My old bed would have never turned out as nice as the new bed, regardless of how much work I would have done to it. The only gripe that I have is that the Ford script on the tail gate wasn't stamped quite deep enough.

Northern Classic Trucks beds come assembled or not. Don't know about shipping prices, but their beds are real nice. Ken

My truck has a Northern Classic bed and it is as perfect as they come, including the Ford stamp on the tailgate. I picked mine up, already assembled. It came with the oak floor and even had the fender mounting bolts.

Can't go wrong with Northern Classic Trucks products. I used several on mine as well. Great folks to talk to. I stop by to see them at Hershey whenever possible.

The 1946 bed that I bought from Mac's came from Northern Classic Truck in Michigan. It was excellent for accuracy/fit.
