sandcanyon Junior Member Aug 4, 2011 #1 I have a 38 1 ton, and considering go to a hydraulic brake system. Is the 1/2 ton and 1 ton a different set up? There's a guy parting out a 39 p/u.

G georgewarren Senior Member Aug 4, 2011 #2 I am working on a 38 1 ton, and as far as I can tell, using 39-48 hydraulic backing plates and shoes on the front will work. The rear will be a problem, unless someone here has a solution for both of us! Good luck!
