Hey guys

Considering changing my 37 pickup over to hydraulic breaks. What is the best way to do that and still keep the 37 wheels?

Thanks

Wade

Wade-

You should be in relatively good shape. As for the wheels just change the backing plates to hydraulic units. You should be able to use the your current drums and wheels. Avoid using '36 fronts.

Wade, all good advice above, but as you are "considering", please also consider simply installing brake floaters in your original mechanical system. One afternoon's work and you get vastly improved brakes, which by the way, will be more reliable than hydraulic brakes of the era.

Wade, I know exacly how you feel about that. I used to drive it on even days and adjust it on odd days. Floaters changed all that!
