37 hood latch rebuild

Does anyone have a illustration on how the hood ornament is all put together down to that lock plate?? Thanks.

Thanks. Those pictures helped a lot. I don't have one of those plates that has the two screws in it. Is that spring steel??

Yes, it has a spring to it. I will email you a picture of just that piece. If you want, I can mail it to you, so you can fabricate one, but I will need the piece returned.

That's okay. I know it is 4" long with a hook to the end l have a little piece of one on another part of a hood I have, so I can just make a piece. I will send you a pic of what I have when I get home from work today.
