37 ford pickup hose

Putting some final touches on the restoration of my 37 ford stake bed pickup. I currently have flex radiator hoses and want to get closer to stock. I have a stock 37 radiator with an 8 BA engine. The radiator outlets are 1 3/4 inch and the head intake is 1 1/2 inch diameter. Can I get a hose to fit this or do I have to make something work. Don't want to stick with the flex hoses. Thanks, Jim

You could make something work by making a rubber sleeve that fits over the water outlet neck in the head first and then the larger ID hose would fit over it and all would be held together with a hose clamp. You can also buy 8ba water outlet necks that have the same 1-3/4" diameter as your radiator inlet. Always more than one way to skin the cat.

On my 40 I fitted an engine with 8BA type heads and chrome outlets. I cut 2 short of lengths of hose and slipped them over the outlets then reused the 40 hoses, shortened to fit the more forward locatedn outlets.
The 40 hoses fit over the short lengths of hose fitted over the outlets. Can't remember if put a little bit of rtv between the hoses or not, but a single hose clip holds the two hoses together on the outlet ok.
