'37 ford arm rest installation

Here is the location of the left hand arm rest on a 1937 Ford De Luxe Fordor. I don't have one on the right. Not sure if my car had been originally equipped with one on the right or if it had been removed by someone during the intervening years.

Hi Everyone. Tony, My 35 Fordor Touring, all of which were De Luxe, has the arm rest only on the driver side.

you would think a De Luxe would have an arm rest on both sides. Maybe that was for those snooty Lincoln drivers and their fancy arm rests on both sides.

My 37 Cabriolet has one on both sides but I don`t know if it came that way originally. Maybe someone else will chime in here.

Hello,
From the "The Early Ford V8 As Henry Built It" book, page 171, for the 1937-38 models:

"In addition, all passenger bodies except Roadster and Phaeton had an arm rest on both front doors."
