Ok so if I run an electric fuel pump
What should the psi be to the carb
Single carb set up
Looks like the original fuel pump will fill the bowl but won't come out the line to the carb
Thanks guys

it might be a good idea to fix what you have before adding an elec pump. You could have a non metal tip on the carb float valve that is stuck. Stick a temporary line in the output side of your pump and try spinning the engine without the switch on to see if the pump has enough power to push gas out. There could be a vac leak between the tank and out side of your pump, just enough to make things not work. I like to check pumps by having them off the engine but attached to the flex line and pushing the pump rocker against the engine to see if it pumps. An elec pump is good to have for emergencies such as vapor lock.

I would send the original pump to Charle in New York if it tests bad. He'll make it good as new.

Since pumps push better than the pull, the fact that it fills the bowl says your pump is OK. The problem is between the pump and the engine. In most cases, electric pumps are just band-aids. After I finally figured out what was going on about 25 years ago, I removed the electric pump from my '51 and never looked back. The stock pump is now supplying a Rochester 2G with twice the capacity of a stock carb just fine.

Rather than wasting money on an electric pump, have yours rebuilt properly by Charlie Schwendler in New York; you won't be sorry. (Send your carb with it.)

BTW, Ford carbs like 1.5 to 2.5 psi fuel pressure.

Ok
Yeah I removed the line to the carb thought maybe it was plugged
Turned engine over and nothing coming out that line..
Hopefully I can get home early this week to check it out
