Charlie 11"s sounds a little small for a fan for these cars. The 16" 4 bladed fan on a 35 or 36 is not quite sufficant in 90 degree temperatures if you get in heavy traffic. I just bought an 18" 6 bladed fan still mounted on a 3 brush generator to put on my 35 roadster. The stock fan was 16" with a short hub. The 18" may have been off a 60 HP truck. It has differant reinforced blades that are more substancial then the 4 bladed paddles. The blades hit the coil and bottom of the radiator. The hub was about 3 inches where the 35 hub was about 1". I cut the blades down to 17"s with verniers So they are all exactly within .010 of each other. The 6 blade mounted to the hub with 8 rivets and the 4 blade with 4 rivets. I drilled the rivets out of both put the thinner hub on the 6 blade. 4 of the rivet holes matched up and I drilled the other 4 holes in the 4 blade hub and bolted them together with 1/4-28 grade 8 bolts 1/2" long, lock washers and nuts with a SMALL dab of lock tight on each. The holes are almost body bound so there is no slop. The top of blades in the front clear the radiator by 1/2" the rear of the blades clear the radiator hoses at the top by 3/8" and the coil by 1/2" and there is room at the top to tighten the belt when it wears. The fan is a little louder then the 4 blade but not to bad. I was out driving for an hour on a 90 degree day, stopped at the post office and let it idle while I went in. Went 1/4 mile home and ran right in and got the heat gun. It was 170 so I let it idle and it slowly came down and stayed at 164 for 15 minutes before I parked it. Looks good to me. G.M.
