37 Banjo Steering Wheel/Column Paint?

I understand that the '37 Deluxe (Banjo) steering wheel and column were painted brown (presumably "Seal Brown")...but what type of paint was used? Lacquer or enamel?

According to the Early Ford V-8 Club of America 1937 Ford Book, the correct color for the De Luxe Banjo Steering Wheel for 1937 Ford is Rustic Brown (See page 6-12).

I think,ford used enamel,GM lacquer.
