37-39 Light Switch Bail

I bought a new light switch bail, it came in a Vintique package labeled 37-39 Ford, but it is too short. Anyone else have this problem, or did I just get a bad one? Anyone have a stash of original bails?

No, but my rusty original bail fits the new housing...

Are there different length light switch housings? This is a 37 steering gear that I am working on. The new light switch was for 32-37. Does 37 use a different switch and bail than 38-39?

Throw it in the trash and call Baxter Ford in Kansas, get an original Henry, been that route before. Do it before you thread all the wires through the housing and then find out that it won't work.

Are you talking about the switch itself? How about the bail? Get both from Baxters?

Here are 3 different light switch bails from 32 to 39 Ford. Your bail should look like the 78-3647.

#78-3647 is the correct bale for for a 37-39
