I believe the column drop is mounted to the column tube in a different location on a PU as compared to a passenger car steering,otherwise they are the same. You could relocate the lock sleeve on the shaft and the column drop on the tube to make the PU column like the passenger car column. I have a '36 passenger car steering box but I have removed the wheel, horn rod and column drop from the assembly.
