36 Grille

Hi All Refitting my Grille on the 36 after a quick lick of paint , Should there be welting between the grille and fender as pictured as there was none before removing ? metal on metal doesn't sound right, also are there specific bolt sizes to attach the grille to fender , mine was missing a few. Lastly should there be webbing along the top of the grille similar to along the back by the windscreen for the bonnet to close onto ? Thanks in advance

Sounds like you need the Early Ford V-8 Club's 1935-1936 Ford Book.

Yes there is welting between the two metal surfaces.

A quick Google search for 1936 Ford front fender welting will give you several options.
