I had to replace my old tank sending unit when doing my restoration of my 36. I bought a repo unit (Mac's I think). Took the original gauge out and cleaned her up and it worked on the bench. When I reinstalled the unit and connected to the new sender, it goes way up past full even though less than half full. Seems to me there were lots of discussions on past forums about the new senders not working with original gauges. I just did some searches and didn't see much. I have 6 volt positive ground system. What can I do? Replace the gauge with a new one? NOS sender (if I can find one)? Thanks.
