My 'Lil Red - 221cu with Stromberg 48 and 4:11 rear gets around 12-13mpg around town. I've had two different carbs rebuilt by two of the best guys on this site and the mileage is essentially the same. I have no leakdown, starts perfecly and drives like a dream. If anyone has a Columbia O.D. in their garage that would fit a 34pu, let me know - please. Otherwise, I'll keep driving her and paying the high gas prices for the dependable ride I have. I highly recommend the carb rebuilders that are members as they know what to look for above and beyond the normal replacing of parts and gaskets. They also stand behind their work and are esentially nice guys to deal with.
