Anyone have a new or rebuilt fuel pump AND a new/rebuilt dist for a 1936 ford flathead for sale, as I am in need of such. Also, would consider buying a complete dist (either style crab/helmet will do) that needs freshening. Please send PM/email with pics/price:) Thanks much for looking!

BTW- I have a Mallory dual point aluminum V8 distributor for Ford/Merc, in excellent condition(ready to run) to trade for what I need...if you like.

Have new fuel pump of recent manufacture, am quite sure I have rebuilt 36 distributor, also, have NOS 36 coil. Also have nice rebuildable cores, if you want to go that way. I would imagine your Mallory dualpoint distributor is for 49-53 8BA type engine. I will look though my distributors tomorrow. Future contact, please use twinjoan@gmail.com. Will need your email address to send pictures. Elmer Swift

I went through my distributor parts, I do not have a re-built one. Can supply nice re-buildable core for $25.00. Have genuine Ford points at $20. a pair, a new rotor $20., a new genuine Ford coil in original box $120., used inner and outer caps. Elmer Swift(contact twin joan@gmail.com )Have also a couple of real good iginition re-builders, one in Ventura the other Los Olivos, if you don't have someone in your area.

Hey Elmer,
THANKS much for your courtesy/contact! I have been informed that to run a 'helmet type dist, that I'd have to change front cover..so for now that's out! I have been offered a crab dist(to replace the electronic crap in the engine now). Thanks to a Barner...as I accepted his offer:)! Elmer, I'll contact you back if this crab dist needs any work(for the rebuild guys that you know). The dual point Mallory I have is for '49 Merc,etc...

Hard Times, (Are you Dave??) Contact Elwood Williams of Williams Automotive in the Montalvo area(thats between Oxnard and Ventura) if you have a problem with finding the number write me back and I'll get it to you. This business with the fuel pump rod is really funny. A Schakespeare quote"Much ado about Nothing". I will send a used one for nothing plus shipping and if I have a surplus of gennies $10. plus shipping. About the ignition good choice with the crab style, I've been running them for years with better results. There is also ways around the front cover problem with adapters. I have those too, of course, but no need to get into that. Have new replacement 36 fuel pump from C&G for less than half of real store price $25.00 if you can use it. Here again, I would recomend the later fuel pump with sedimate bowl. Elmer Swift
