36 Ford VIN?

Can anyone tell me where the VIN on a 36 Ford is located? Was it on the frame by then? If so, which part?

Top left frame rail near steering box. Starts with star 18 and ends with a star.

check the bellhousing of the transmission, too....above the inspection window.....if it's the original transmission, that number will match the one on the frame....Mike
