36 ford fuel pump stand

[36 flathead]

I am replacing a non stock fuel pump stand on a 36 with the stock stand . I found this baffle installed . this holds the stand off the intake and fuel pump is inop. my other 36 intake does not have this baffle. Anyone know if this is suppose to be installed. I did notice the old stand had a relief cut to allow the stand to set flat.

Yes, the baffle is supposed to be there.

thanks. looks like my stock stand is incorrect. it does not have the relief cut in base.

32-34 manifolds did not use a baffel tube so no need for the relief on the bottom of stand. 35 and up used the baffel 4" one for alum. manifolds and 5" one for a cast iron manifold.The stand w.the relief is used on both of them.Both use the same stand. ken ct.
