36 ford brake light problem

still fighting the brakelight problem. I have no power at the brakelight switch . The parking lights won't turn off unless I remove the fuse. Any thoughts will be appreciated
 
From your description I’d say the wire feeding your parking lights and tail lights should actually be feeding the brake switch…..
 
Look at a wiring schematic. There are only a few items that are hot all the time, lights brake lights etc, I suspect at one of those junctions of hot leads there is a short, or connection from the power thats supposed to be going to the brake light switch, and is now powering up the park light wire. Is your harness in good shape?
 
If you still have the stock steering column and electrical connections at the end, your problem COULD be there. Just a couple of wires out of order.
