36 coupe window installation

I'm about to install the glass in the doors of my 36. I havethe "cat wisker" panels that go on the door and the garnish molding. The question is: what goes onthe top edge of the door so when the window is fully up it does not hit metal? Is there a special rubber molding that goes up there or can I just put some "universal" weather stripping in there?

You will be much better off buying the special kit sold by most of the big mfg's. There is a "run" of window channel that goes over the top of the glass. You can see the kit on some of the suppliers websites or catalogs. The universal stuff does not look good and works worse.

I'd agree with Jerry on this one. I have put windows in 2 35's using the kits. They have preformed channels that fit up into the top of the door...
