Anybody have any helpful hints our tips for installing upper door seals on a 36 5 window coupe? Do you slide the rubber in from one end or force the rubber into the track?
Thanks ,

If you are going to successfully slide it in the track will have to be perfectly clean with no dents. I have pushed windshield rubber into the "track" with a DULL and POLISHED flat screwdriver. Regardless lubricate the rubber and track. KY jelly (water soluble) or a 25% mix of dish soap in water work.

You've got to work it into place; it will not slide in. Use plenty of lube, detergent or something similar. I can't remember all the details, I did mine years ago.

I cleaned the channel, making sure every bit of crud was out from under the lips. Cut bevels on one end, sprayed the channel and seal down with WD40, started the beveled end, grabbed it with a pliers, and pulled it into the channel, guiding and straitening it by hand as it entered the channel. Worked the same for both doors.
