36 coupe front grill question

driving me nuts. i think i have a reproduction.

The difference between a aftermarket 1936 Ford grille and the two styles of genuine Ford grilles is easy to determine. Look at the crank hole, if it's part of the stamping of the bars, you have an original grille. If the crank hole is spot welded on, it's a Argentina aftermarket. The two 1936 Ford genuine versions are distinguished by the stamping method, one is all one stamping and the other has the bars as individual bars welded in, however the center strip with one bar on each side is a one piece stamping, even on the individual welded bars version genuine Ford grille. If the crank hole looks add on and crude, it's a repro. Fit problems occur from damaged and repaired original grilles as well. NOS
