36 club cabriolet window mechanism help !

The cast crank shaft on my window mechanism is broken off.
Can a shaft out of another model be used ? Gear Mech the same ?
Is it totally unique to this car or will other model 36's work ?
Anybody repair these or do repros ?

It depends on the # of teeth, I think there is 6, and 10, I see kits at fleamarkets to repair your problem, probably 35ish--48---and I think there are repro kits---I started collecting pieces to fix my conv sedan regulators---then I found NOS at a good price---the broke used regulators sold for more so I didn't bother fixing them

The whole assembly will be specific to an application but as Kurt stated internal parts should interchange.

I only need the shaft portion to make a repair and use my old tooth setup. Wondering if the shafts are the same ? Has 12 teeth though so I am probably out of luck.

there is a good chance the shafts are the same, I go out to play at my "shop" today and I will look to see if I kept any of the parts I had collected to fix the regulators I sold

Thank you very much. I was thinking I might have to turn my 36 cabriolet into a roadster.
In all my years of messing with old cars, this convertible has the most difficult window system I have ever encountered.
