36 cabriolet top questions

A little history here. 36 cabriolet in the process of restoration. Top just installed, and will fold back with a lot of work. The middle photo shows this. The front iron with the latch that locks the front bow seems a little high for the boot (not attached yet) not to have a protruding lump. The irons were all intact when I got the car some years ago, but many of the rivets had been replaced. This brings up the question as to if they were re-riveted correctly. The first photo is the latch from the outside looking in and the third photo is the inside looking out. (passenger side) From the photos I have seen in the forum it looks as if the hinge should be up, not down. Any photos would help or would someone with a cabriolet be willing to email or talk with me. Thanks Bruce

Its upside down. Looks like they may have put the latch section of the top iron on the wrong side which would make it upside down. I can send you pictures by email.
