36 5 Window Coupe Body Number

Could someone provide me with a picture showing the location of the body number tag for a 36 5 Window coupe? I have the holes in the firewall for the patent tag but not the body number tag.

I am way out on my comfort zone with the '36 but is there any chance that this body type was built by Ford and did not have a body tag? I am just throwing this out more as a question, don't bet any money on it. Do you have a copy of the restoration guidelines from the Early Ford V8 Club (earlyfordv8.org)?

The tag you are referring to mounted on the angled slope of the firewall ,pass side .

Have owned 3 36 Fords and don't think they have a body tag. Serial # only.

what Charlie said.....from the '35-'36 book--"Most of the Tudors, Fordors and Coupes were built up from stampings at Ford assembly plant and therefore had no ID tags."....so probably no ID tag.....Mike

My mistake.My 36 5W doesn't have a body number tag.The 35 roadster I owned had one in location I described and also in the floor was stamped 710 behind the seat.

36 Ford 5W Coupe body number is 770 and located on the slanted part of the firewall above the patent plate. My floor also is stamped 770.
