Dave, The first reference of floor stiffiners (cleats) appeared on Ford drawings dated 3/14/1935. The cleats were released for Models 48-700, 710, 720, 730, 750, 760 & 770 at that time. On 5/9/35 cleats for model 740 were released. The coupe on ebay appears to have been made in March since it has short front fender braces(after 2/35), mid-mounted inside door handles (3/35) and no floor cleats (till mid 3/35)

My 35 coupe is all original and according to the serial number was made between March and April and has no wood stiffeners.

Mine was made in the same time period and has the main floor cleats but not the cleats for the rumble area. I have front mounted door handles. Fords changes happened over weeks, not overnight.
