35 windshield replacement

Removing the old glass is the biggest problem. The old rubber is usually very hard and stuck to both the glass and the frame. What has worked for me is to use a razor knife to cut away the edges (back and front) of the rubber as far as you can. Then lay the whole thing flat (level it) and pour as much AFT fluid as you can onto the glass soaking the gasket. You can take a sharpened putty knife and tap (not HAMMER) it around the rubber gasket to help the ATF penetrate. Wait a day and repeat taping. After 3 days of this, turn it over and repeat the process. More aggressive TAPPING should start the glass separating from the rubber.

Once the glass is out you should be able to chip the remaining gasket out of the frame.

You want to save the old glass to use as a template for the new glass.
