35 truck only locking spare cap

[David J]

Lawson Cox had a thread about locking spare cap issues and the oddball 35 only - truck only one was discussed . If you want to see a restored one of these it's for sale on ebay item # 300518655268 . Kinda spendy but you can clearly see why these won't fit pass cars with the strap coming out at 4:00 instead of 6:00 .

What would keep someone from rotating the cover on a pass car to 4:00?

[Lawson Cox]

A lot of careful measurements and some machine work. It can be done. Chet Chambers did it on his 35 with a passenger car cap that I gave him. Great job.
