This Tuesday I met a friend of a friend who is 87 yrs young and is restoring a '35 Ford Std. model 5W Rumble Seat Coupe. Someone else had taken this old Ford apart and then lost interest. Unfortunately, some of the original parts got lost or were thrown away and now our friend is having trouble gathering some of these parts to put the car back together. One thing he is trying to determine is what the first rumble seat step bracket looks like. This step bracket is bolted to the right rear fender where the tail light is normally located on a deluxe model. We looked in the EFV8C/A '35-'36 Book and all that is mentioned is that this is a special bracket to be used on std model '35/'36 RS Coupes but no pictures are shown. Would someone please post some pictures here showing what this bracket looks like and also if anyone knows where we could purchase one of these brackets. Thank you for any and all help. JM

the 36 hardware book pictures this bracket, 48-714020-R for the Std Coupe. If your friend is into the original hardware to install this bracket it is also pictured. I have seen them on ebay every great once in a while. They are different than the 36.

The one on my 36 looks like a spacer 1-1 1/4"in diam. and about 1" high. This is from the top side, didn't look under the tail lite stand as its installed already.ken ct. This is on a 36 coupe with a rumble.
